Stacked Wings

Stacked Wings

The Ultimate Chicken Wing Recipe with StackHouse

Wings are one of those foods that everyone has an opinion on—and this one is ours: start with StackHouse, and you can’t go wrong. Whether you’re grilling, deep frying, or hitting them with a sauce that gets people talking, it all begins with that bold, all-purpose base.

This recipe is less about strict measurements and more about technique + flavor. Let’s get into it.

Start with the Base: StackHouse

Before anything hits the grill or fryer, coat your wings generously with StackHouse All-Purpose Rub. It’s salt, pepper, garlic, and a few other secret weapons that make it your go-to base layer for literally anything—but it really shines on chicken.

  • Pat your wings dry with a paper towel.

  • Toss in StackHouse until every wing is coated.

  • Let them sit for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the fridge for max flavor.

🔥 Grill ’Em

If you’re going the grill route (we usually are), here’s the plan:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F–400°F).

  • Cook the wings over indirect heat for 20–25 minutes, flipping occasionally.

  • When the internal temp hits 165°F, it’s time to sear.

👉 Sear Tip: Move your wings over direct heat at the end and crank the temp up. Let them kiss the flames for 1–2 minutes per side to crisp the skin and lock in all that smoky flavor.

Fry ’Em

Wanna keep it classic? Drop those StackHouse-coated wings into 350°F oil and fry for 8–10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Drain them on a wire rack or paper towel and get ready to sauce.

Choose Your Sauce Adventure

Once your wings are cooked and crispy, it’s time to toss them in whatever flavor you’re craving. Here are a few go-tos from the MW crew:

  • Parmesan Garlic: Melted butter, fresh garlic, grated parm, and a little chopped parsley. Fancy but easy.

  • Buttery Buffalo: Equal parts hot sauce and melted butter. Toss in a splash of vinegar for extra bite.

  • Classic Buffalo: Hot sauce, a touch of honey, a little cayenne, and a squeeze of lime juice. Tangy and balanced.

  • Honey Hogtoss: Want something sweet? Mix honey and a spoonful of Hogtoss rub for a sticky-sweet glaze.

Final Touch

After you sauce them, toss them back on the grill or under the broiler for 1–2 minutes to let everything set and get that glossy, caramelized finish.

Let’s Recap:

  • Season with StackHouse (that’s non-negotiable).

  • Grill or fry until crispy and cooked through.

  • Toss in your sauce of choice—or try a few.

  • Finish hot to lock it in.
